Freeview Issues Reports Near Rhondda, Wales
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in Rhondda and nearby locations:
Dave Maydew MW0DCM (@dave_maydew) reported fromTonyrefail, Wales
@FreeviewAdvice @arqiva More disappointed, but I suppose I've got to accept it, after totally cutting the cord. I do have a tech question though. I'm using the Plex Media Server for Freeview, but the supplied EPG by Gracenote is terrible, is there a XML file of the one you use on the Android app
George Baldwin (@GeorgeBaldwin14) reported fromCardiff, Wales
And has been mentioned before, I and I'm sure many others would never have followed rugby without the Six Nations being free to watch and having it on freeview year after year
Morgan Barber-Rogers #FBPE melt and centrist dad (@MeurigRogers) reported fromCardiff, Wales
@bethanjenkins Project Kangaroo became YouView. It wasn’t shut down because it was a ppv model - it was meant to be like an online Freeview. It was shut down because it was deemed unfair competition for private companies. Who are now all Americans.
Ian Cleverly (@IanCleverly06) reported fromTrethomas, Wales
Just an FYI @DMAX_UK but you've just showed Series 3 Ep10 of #Archer, when the Freeview EPG (and your website) has you showing the correct in order Ep 9. It has the same down for the Sat midnight showing (ie Ep 10 is listed in you'll show Ep 9)
Michael Lee Lewis (@MichaelLeeLewi4) reported fromAberdare, Wales
@kieranjameen Kieran cancel it, my sister did with hers and hasn't missed it, you can buy internet freeview boxes now and you can download all the apps onto them, no monthly payments then, just for what you choose to, much cheaper

Tracey Davies (@miss_traceydav) reported fromCorby, England
@CraigS0309 People are arguing about this very advice. Take a Sky engineer, if your Sky box or dish breaks. One person argued it shouldn’t be fixed & use Freeview. Problem with that for me is 1) I don’thave Freeview as no aerial and 2) I pay Sky extra to cover equipment
Fergus Waddell (@furg88) reported fromKirkcudbright, Scotland
Hmm, funny how loss of Freeview signal is corrected by; re-tuning, pulling out all the aerial cables, changing them around, tuning again, looking at what way the aerial outside is facing, plugging in the original cables and then re-tuning. f*cking work the first time! 😡
Jonathan (@jonnyhern) reported fromPontypool, Wales
@Thom*oli @PhilipsCare_UK I’ve been waiting 8 weeks for same issue not worked for me since I bought my TV. I dont have an aeriel tho just satellite cable connected & internet but no catch up aps work or freeview
Jens Fallesen (@JensFallesen) reported fromHounslow, England
@leksi_p Correct. If you do not have Freeview, Sky or Virgin (or any other cable service), you should not need to pay if you never watch it.
Victims Voice (@victimsvoice73) reported fromSheffield, England
@reece_dinsdale @waynefoy @virginmedia Try message them on twitter they seem to get back to you quicker on social media .i stayed loyal to virgin for many years until the freeview episode when I changed to @SkyHelpTeam was so glad I did and it was cheaper by a lot virgin have no loyalty dad having same problem now x
TRACEY LANE (@traceyfromrasen) reported fromMarket Rasen, England
@Kavismate @SkySportsRacing @RacingTV On my tablet the sound is fine but the live stream is very stuttery. Freeview still not working
THE BRITISH RESISTANCE🌊🇪🇺🇺🇸🇬🇧📷🗽🎥 (@Unruly_Brit) reported fromPlymouth, England
Since I've removed my freeview box, I've never frlt so liberated before. Being in absolute control of the content I wish to see (My dvd collection) is the best thing I've ever done. No more Sky News or BBC News being rammed down my throat evry day.
ken (@uk12345) reported fromRomford, England
@bt_uk I got a problem it's not my fault and it's not BT issue I lost a lot of Freeview channels in my flat I went to no cancel and said you can have a dish because aerials are very bad in your area where you live we've had a lot of people coming to us about the same problem
TRACEY LANE (@traceyfromrasen) reported fromMarket Rasen, England
Just for a change @RacingTV Freeview is stopping, starting freeze framed. I pay good money for this service.
Tracey Davies (@miss_traceydav) reported fromCorby, England
@CraigS0309 I agree but they shouldn’t be taking new customers - fixing only. (Since they generally charged extra for this service). some people are a bit naive presuming everyone has access to Freeview
